I don’t know if any of you have seen this game show, but it’s pretty ridiculous. Mainly because it’s designed to make people fail. And when you have a game show that no one can win, it gets old pretty damn fast.
For those of you who don’t know about it, here’s the rundown:
There’s a pool of water behind the player and a styrofoam wall rapidly approaching. The wall has a human-shaped hole in it that they have to match with their body in order to go through the wall and not be knocked into the water. Here’s a pic from the Japanese version:

The difference between the American and the Japanese versions of this game is that the latter has holes that people can actually fit through. There’s a little wiggle room.
I wish I had a pic from the episode we watched last night (also the first and last episode we will see). The two groups were: 1. A group of female bodybuilders. One of them only questionably female. 2. A group of male little people.
To make the long story short, both of these groups of people had obvious size disparities with the hole in the wall. The little guys made it to the final round (the blind wall) and faced a hole that looked like this: (pardon my poor drawing skills)

I know this isn’t the exact hole, but there are a couple of things to note here. One is that there is no way someone could balance their center of gravity like that. Two, these are little people and their legs are simply not that long. Those two things add up to failure, basically. They didn’t even have a prayer.
And don’t get me started when they have fat people on the show. No, they do not make any changes to the hole size. A skinny person would have to be perfectly aligned to make it through. Fat people or anyone with an “unconventional” body doesn’t have a chance in hell.
So, if you enjoy watching people fail and fall into the water, perhaps you will get a kick out of this show and join the other 2 faithful viewers. I am sure, however, that this program will be about as short-lived as any game show that Brooke Burns co-hosts.
Now isn’t that a fun diversion from the last politically-charged post? :D
